The Profile Kellett is a great beginner autogyro as is easy to build and fly. Modeled after the Kellett KD 1 and you can even modify it to the KD 1A that had enclosed cockpit and flew airmail for Eastern Airlines. The US Army had the Kellett XO-60 with Camo paint and fully enclosed fuselage. There are many versions of the Kellotts over the years, so you wont get bored modifying to achieve the one you like best. This is a 3D profile…..bottom and side fuses, built up tail and rudder. Rotor span is 50” this is a .25 size gyro using .25 glow two cycle motor or electric equivalent.
Keep it light! Don't put too large of a motor. I tried that myself...did not work well. You are looking for the hottest .25 to .32 two stoke you can find. Use very light...yet sturdy wheels. Use metal gear servos. Take your time, if you go too fast you may miss something on the plan.
